Gold is a precious metal that can be found on the periodic table under the Au symbol, which is Latin for Aurum. It is a supple, glossy, yellow, solid, malleable, and spongy metal. Gold, by itself is a very soft type of metal that can be shaped and bent quite easily. This is the reason that many wedding band manufacturers mix gold with other types of metal to increase the strength of the gold.

Throughout history, gold has been a highly valued substance. It’s unique properties and relative scarcity caused almost every world culture to use it as a form of money, as well as a way to “store” value. Somehow gold has always been preferred over other elements. Diamonds hold a secondary place when it comes to wedding rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings.

Gold has been used for purchasing, bartering and collecting throughout history. Gold has even been a hedge against inflation and helps to preserve and protect future earnings of Americans.

Now a days, with so many metals and precious stones around, it seems very difficult to decide which way to go.

Bracelets are also available in white gold. White gold bracelet gives a greater appearance as it shines like platinum.
